Who we are
ShipCheck (https://vibeshipcheck.com) is operated by REEFERTECHPRO LIMITED, a company registered in New Zealand ("we", "us"). Contact: hello@vibeshipcheck.com.
The service
ShipCheck scans GitHub repositories for leaked secrets, known-vulnerable dependencies and common configuration mistakes, and produces a risk score and a plain-English report. You can paste a public repository, or scan private repositories by connecting GitHub: our GitHub App gets read-only access to only the repositories you pick, and you can revoke that access at any time in your GitHub settings. Only submit repositories you own or are allowed to assess.
Each scan runs in an isolated, throwaway sandbox. The repository is downloaded, then analysed in a container with no network access. Your code is never executed. The downloaded copy is deleted right after each scan; if a scan is interrupted, an automatic cleanup removes any leftover copy within about 10 minutes.
Reports and AI
Explanations and fix steps are written with the help of an AI model (xAI). Secret values are masked (only the first few characters are kept) before anything is sent to the model. Reports are automated guidance, not a security audit or a guarantee that your project is secure. A clean result does not mean there are no vulnerabilities.
Payments
The free scan shows your score and the issues found. The fix pack is a one-time purchase per scan (currently US$39) processed by Stripe. It includes the full report, a fix prompt for each issue and one free re-scan. We never see or store your card details. The fix pack is unlocked once Stripe confirms the payment. Anyone who bought the earlier full report keeps access to it. If a purchase fails to unlock or is clearly broken, email us and we will fix it or refund you.
Acceptable use
Don't abuse the service: no automated mass scanning, attempts to bypass rate limits or the sandbox, or use of results to attack third parties. We may block abusive use.
Liability
The service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or other law that cannot be excluded, where it applies.
Changes and law
We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
